Marsha Cross played a part of the psychotic Dr. Kimberly Shaw on the prime time drama series. That show was a pop culture phenomenon, it was going down in history as one of the most entertaining tv series of the 1990s. Marcia was considered as the fan favorite of the show. Marsha reigned on, starring in films like Female Perversions opposite Tilda Swinton and Always Say Goodbye opposite Emmy-nominee Polly Draper, throughout her long run on Melrose. In 1997, Marcia Cross left the show. She climed her Master's Degree in Psychology.

From 1998 to 2003, she was acting regularly. She starred in Dancing in September. It was a critically acclaimed film, which brought her the lead role in Living in Fear, starred in The Wind Effect - a disturbing film about family, and even filmed Eastwick. It was based on The Witches of Eastwick.

Marsha Cross was born on March 25, 1962, in Marlborough, Massachusetts. Being a child, Marsha's dream was to be an actress, so she set out to have a career in acting. Cross graduated from Julliard School in New York. Her career began in 1984, when Marsha Cross joined the cast of the daytime soap opera called The Edge of Night. Six months later, the show finished its 28-year run. The following year Marsha starred opposite Carroll O'Connor in the tv film Brass.

In 1986 she landed the lead role in Pros & Cons with Sheryl Lee Ralph. Marsha Cross was busy taking part in The Last Days of Frank and Jesse James with many famous figures in Hollywood - including June Carter Cash, Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, and Kris Kristofferson. Marcia's career was looking up when she was cast as Kate Roberts in another daytime soap opera, One Life to Live, and played the part of Tanya in Another World. Marcia was seen opposite Tim Daly in the 1988 tear-jerker romance Almost Grown.

Almost Grown was a pilot version that was never picked up. Marsha Cross was then cast as Ruth Fielding in Bad Influence, a thriller where Cross had a part in. She joined the cast of Knots Landing - an incredibly famous nighttime soap opera in 1991. After a year, she left to do work on a new television series called Melrose Place.

Marsha Cross is an incredibly cute and talented actress and model. In the 1980s and 1990s, she did soap operas like The Edge of Night, Knots Landing and One Life to Live. In 1992, she got the break, she was picked and casted for the hit nighttime drama Melrose Place . Kimberly Shaw, her character, is one of the most memorable ones in television and considered by most the glue of the show.

In 1993 Richard Jordan, her long-time companion, died. In 1997 she left the show Melrose Place to get her Master's Degree. She did several films from 1997 to 2003, when she returned to television on the drama series Everwood .

She left Everwood after one season to take what has proven to be the biggest role in her career: Bree Van De Kamp on the surprise hit Desperate Housewives. She's got her first award for her work on Housewives. The conventional wisdom is that she will be sticking with Housewives for awhile, and is likely to be nominated for more awards because of it.
